Backsplash thoughts

We've spent the last few weeks debating backsplash materials. We wanted to do some rectangular tile, like a subway style or thinner like this Walker Zanger Skyline tile which is more 1.5"x6" and a thinner piece. I guess I never realized how expensive glass tile can be for something cool.
We were also looking at doing a sleek stainless tile but again, it was a little too much on our tight budget.,

How do you find out how much they are? Their website doesn't say.

Walker Zanger sells through resellers, so you need to go to a tile showroom. In our town, that particular tile sold for about $56 sq/ft.

There are no builders surplus type stores out there? That is where my neighbor who is on Design to Sell gets stuff like this for cheap. Although they always fudge their numbers so it looks like they spent less than $2000. I got our tiny square white marble tiles for our shower at an outlet place
